Hi! I'm Knott! Yes, that is really my name---I came with a tag that says that! The people who e got me from my owner who was having some medical issues told K Kids I am 14, but I don't look or act like it. Except I do have trouble going up stairs, so the vet started me on some meds for arthritis to see if that helps my hips feel better.
What else? I am cuddly---I LOVE to sit on the couch next to you and watch TV, and I love to cuddle in bed as well. I like walks, I'm great on car rides, and I'm housebroken. I'm fine with other dogs, but the level of chaos at my foster home is over the top. I'd like maybe one other dog. I don't like sharing my food---I will growl and snap if anyone is near my food bowl. Or if anyone tries to get a crumb of people food that falls to the ground. Those are all mine!
Once I trust someone, which doesn't take long, I am really gentle and trusting. But I can be a bit growly and snappy at first. I don't bite to hurt; I just warn people. Foster mom thinks it's half pain and half being scared! We were at an adoption event, and I did this clever thing where I would go up to people to get petted, then after they were petting me a while, I would growl and snap at them. That got me a time-out because foster mom is no fun. SO, foster mom says I might be more of "stay at home" guy than a "take to places with toddlers" kind of guy. I mean, she's probably not wrong.
Anyway, I'm a nice dog! I am a big guy for 18 pounds, and I am ready to find my forever lap. I know someone out there is ready to serve me! Wait---foster mom says I shouldn't say that, but I'm trying to be transparent here.
My adoption fee is $200. Kkidsrescue.org I'm being fostered in Charlottesville, VA.
