Midnight is a cool dog.  She came from a situation where her human was neglected.  Yep, you read that correctly.  The caretaker neglected the human, and the dogs were also there, so I'm guessing it wasn't good for them, either.  When her human was taken away, Midnight and her 8 friends/relatives were taken to the shelter.  Midnight was the most nervous of the group.  She's been in her foster home for about a month now, and she's a cool little dog.  She is going to be an AMAZING buddy for someone with a little bit of patience.  Midnight is housebroken and loves to be able to access our fenced in back yard via our dog door.  She spends a ton of time outside just wandering around the yard and also running with the other little dogs---she definitely would prefer a doggie buddy.  She also likes toys.  She really likes that she has a crate that is on top of another crate right between our kitchen and living room---she can perch herself in there and observe the world---she likes to be up a little higher, like a cat.  Midnight is still a little unsure about being petted; we haven't pushed the subject.  Our 11 year old daughter can reach in the crate and pet her and she isn't worried at all.  When the rest of us do that, she flinches a little, but she will accept petting and sometimes even show us her belly for rubs.  She's not used to a leash so that will take a little work.  And she does like to chew, so she will need some designated things to chew.  Overall, she's a nice little dog that is smart and going to be really fun for some family.
