Hi! I’m Shadow! I’m about 2 years old. My foster mom thinks I’m a dachshund/Chihuahua/giraffe/kangaroo mix! The last two she’s assuming because I have long legs and I can jump! But I'm only about 10 pounds!

How did I become a K Kid? Apparently, it is frowned upon to exit a low-security fence by tunneling under it. Who knew? I have been evicted from two homes for such transgressions. I am now at a maximum-security facility with a fence that touches the ground, and I have shown zero interest in tunneling out. They do have this awesome thing called a dog-door here, and I LOVE it!

You know what else I love? Other dogs. Kids. Cuddles. Food. Dog sweaters----HEY, don’t judge. I have zero percent body fat and the weather has turned frigid. But seriously, I’m all about sleeping under the covers. I’m also a BIG helper when someone is working from home. My title is Official Lap Warmer!

I have a problem though. It seems I’m possessed by something called Heart worms. Foster mom says that I don’t need to be scared, because I’m young and don’t have symptoms, but that it will be a few months before I’ve completely evicted my freeloaders. In the meantime, I can’t get neutered. Not sure what that is, but the other boy dogs here just laughed when I asked. It must be fun!

Due to the cost of heart worm treatments, Foster mom aka the K Kids Boss Lady, is looking for someone who could get me to Charlottesville once in 2 months and then once a month after that for my treatments. She’s happy to work with fosters to adopt for me, as I shouldn’t be adopted out officially until I’m worm and ball-free. Wait, why can’t I play with balls anymore?

Can I come to your house? I’m housebroken, but I will occasionally try to mark because I’m a dude and I just need some reminders.
