|
Hi, my name is Rosie. Everyone tells me I am a beautiful little girl inside and out. I am a unique black and white mini silver dapple Dachshund, eight years young and a whopping 9 pounds. I love to play and cuddle!!!
Dad is going to seminary in another state. Sadly, Mom and Dad were unable to find housing that allows dogs. So my beloved family, including my 2-legged four year old brother, whom I adore, had to say goodbye to me. We are all very sad. Therefore, since I can no longer live with my first family, Mom contacted K Kids to find another loving family to give me a forever home.
When I had to leave my family, Foster Mom knew I was broken hearted and scared. She told me she loved me and that I was a good little girl all the way to her home. She was gentle and loving, and let me decide when I was going to trust her! It took me a little while, but I now completely trust her and Charlie, her little Doxie. We have so much fun together.
My Mom stayed at home with me, so if I can find a new forever mom who stays at home that will be ideal. However, my Foster Mom works Monday through Friday, and I have adjusted well because Foster Mom tells me when she is leaving for work, that she loves me, and will be home soon. I am so excited when she gets home. So it will probably be okay if you work. Since Foster Mom’s Doxie Charlie and I get along together, I would do well as an only dog or as an addition to your canine family. Plus, since my 2-legged four year old brother grew up with me, I should do fine with small children, as long as they have grown up with little dogs. Remember, I am quite small at 9 pounds and have a long back.
Sometimes when I meet new people and canines, I get a little nervous. Mom said I loved Dad, but wasn’t too fond of other men. Foster Mom has walked me in the neighborhood, and I have met some of her female and male neighbors; I have been okay with all of them. One of neighborhood children’s dad even sat down on the street with me and I was fine. You just need to be patient with me, and I will be your forever best friend in no time!
A lot of my friends do NOT like going to vet, and I don’t either. Vets tend to make me a little anxious, so I have a special anti-anxiety med that I take so I won’t be too nervous. Foster Mom says she even gets anxious sometimes, especially when she has to go to the dentist. So, I guess it can happen to the best of us.
I listen well. Foster Mom says ‘Let’s go night night, and I am off to bed. I walk well on a leash. I am a fast learner. I love to play with squeaky toys. I LOVE to snuggle. I am real sweetheart! A pure love bug.

My vetting is completely up to date.
I am enjoying all the love and the special attention. However, I am now ready for my loving forever home. If you think you are up to providing me with a forever home, we can't wait to hear from you! Don’t forget to complete the application so you can take me home to be a part of your loving family.
Woof Woof
Love, Rosie
