Remember Norman? He became a K Kid several months ago and had to be treated for heartworms. He has finished treatment and is ready for adoption! Here is what his wonderful foster mom has to say about him:
Norman is a Velcro dog. He literally follows me everywhere, haha. But he’s not an anxious dog. He just really likes people and has bonded with me since I’m his caretaker. When left alone in his crate he will bark and whine. So his ideal home would be one where he is not left alone for long periods of time. I don’t know if he’d get along well with another dog. I have not had him interact with another one off leash, but on leash he takes a dominant posture and is sometimes reactive (barking.) He can NOT go to a home with small animals. He has incredibly high prey drive, cats included. He’d probably be best as the only pet. He loves snuggling on the couch but he also seems to enjoy being outside a lot. I think he would appreciate a yard. He is 100% housebroken… not a single accident in the house since I got him. I’m not sure how he’d do with kids. I let him meet my toddler niece and a couple neighbor kids pet him and was fine. I saw on his shelter paperwork it said no small children though so I wonder if there was an issue. He’s very food motivated and sometimes mischievous about it … things definitely need to be put out of reach or he might get it. He’ll need a “dog proofed” home for sure.
