IF and only IF you can work with our requirements, feel free to fill out an application for Copper. If you can’t, don’t inquire. This dog needs the PERFECT home, and we will give him nothing less, no matter how cute he is.

So, what’s up with Copper, you ask? Well, he’s a dachshund. He’s 8 months old. His mom is overwhelmed by his strong personality and doesn’t have the time to dedicate to training him, and she wants him to find the perfect home.

Specifically, Copper knows he’s not supposed to potty in the house, and he doesn’t care. He will run and hide and poop under the bed, as a matter of fact. Copper also has access to endless toys and chewies, but he really prefers to eat the couch. He doesn’t care for correction, and is just basically an adorable brat. If you have the TIME, energy, and knowhow to use positive reinforcement to teach Mr. Copper that his current behavior won’t fly, we’d love to hear from you.
