Note:  Because of the pandemic VA adopters are preferred.  Buddy is a sweet and loving little guy who has been bounced around a few times before finding himself in a local shelter.  He is super friendly and eager to please with those he knows but he does not like uninvited attention from strangers so he needs an adopter who is comfortable showing new people how to interact with him so he feels comfortable!  Once he has decided you're in his club...you're a lifetime member!  Buddy is good on a leash (he also listens well off leash) and loves to go for walks and outings or to chase a ball in the yard.  He is also a happy passenger in the car - especially if you take him to a drive thru!  Buddy is house broken and crate trained and is a medium energy kind of guy.  He is good with other dogs and also lived successfully in a foster home with dog savvy cats (but he might be inclined to chase cats that run).  However he has not yet mastered the art of "sharing is caring" so he does need to be managed in a home with multiple pets for people in situations where he may be inclined to try to protect food or his favorite person.  And if you live alone and do not have other animals he might like that too!  Buddy has spent some time with a trainer who will be more than happy to chat with you about what works best for Buddy to set him up for success!  If you think Buddy could be the right fit for you please get in touch!  He has been let down by so many people and we can't wait to find him his happily ever after!
