Anyone’s Grandpa need a dog? Any Grandpas out there looking for a single, mellow, middle-aged lady to snuggle with? I can hook you up! Ellie Mae came from a hoarding situation in Pulaski County. She is fine with other dogs, but she doesn’t want to play with them. I imagine she would love to sit on a porch with an old man who is screaming, “You damn kids get off my lawn!”
Ellie is low-energy. Think sloth-like. She’s happy to go outside a couple of times a day and potty, and she is excited at meal time, but otherwise she loves to sleep on a dog bed. And she prefers men. She doesn’t dislike me (a female), because I feed her, but she would cry no tears if I suddenly disappeared.
I will say that there is the possibility that once Ellie Mae is in an environment where she is not worried about being run over by big dogs that her personality might come out and her energy levels might increase. Then she might be less sloth and more turtle. I’m not expecting huge changes!
Ellie is being fostered in Charlottesville, VA. She is about 10 years
old and 12 pounds. She is up to date on all her vetting. Her adoption fee is $150.
